Co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders are chronic brain diseases that require integrated treatment and a focus on wellness and recovery. This is the basis for WestBridge’s dual diagnosis treatment program. WestBridge’s program uses Evidence-Based Practices within a Recovery Oriented System of Care to provide men over the age of 18 with mental health and addiction treatment at the same time, in the same setting. WestBridge is focused on providing care in a holistic way. As well as psychological support including CBT, Cognitive
Remediation and Motivational Interviewing, clinicians are focused on supporting participants through recovery issues including side
affects of any drugs prescribed, sleep disorders as well as helping them through any relapse incidents. WestBridge also helps participants by facilitating mutual support and mentorship – from peers who are or have been through the program, as well as from family members, through the family mentorship program, helping families provide the support participants need. Treating the whole person, WestBridge’s wellness team aims to support participants with exercise,
nutrition and relaxation.
