The Division of Gynecologic Oncology at UC Irvine Health is advancing the field of women's cancer care through innovative clinical care programs, cutting edge clinical trial research, and broad-reaching educational curriculums. The ovarian cancer program is emblematic of these efforts. The foundation of the program is a comprehensive and holistic approach to patient care, incorporating a proactive surgical paradigm coupled with locoregional chemotherapy. The program offers a multitude of clinical trials including a phase I trial of up-front hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for patients with advanced-stage disease as well as novel therapeutic and targeted agents for patients with all types of gynecologic cancer.
