Revolutionizing Transportation
Carnegie Mellon University Transportation Center
There is a revolution underway in transportation and Carnegie Mellon is at the head of the class. Researchers in its transportation center are developing technologies for safer and more efficient transportation. Then they use those technologies in the real world. Working with corporate, nonprofit and government partners…they are already deploying next generation solutions to everyday problems. From an app for transit riders, to smart traffic signals in Pittsburgh’s congested East Liberty neighborhood, to futuristic robotic cars. Technology that will likely soon be used around the state and beyond. And they are just getting started.
