Enabling Personalised Medicine
Enabling Personalised Medicine.
Over the past 15 years The Department of Clinical Physiology, Nuclear Medicine and PET
at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University Hospital has built a strong translational platform to develop
and take new PET tracers and theranostics into first-in-humans and enabling personalised medicine.
Over the last years, the translation platform has led to several first-in-humans PET tracers.
An example of such a new tracer that was taken from idea to testing now in more than 300 patients is
uPAR-PET. uPAR is a marker of aggressiveness and can be used for diagnosing, risk stratification,
companion diagnostics and with targeted radionuclide therapy as a theranostics.
